According to the Hunchback of Notre Dame artbook, one of the very early character design suggestions for Quasimodo was that "half his face might be deformed, but hidden under a cascade of beautiful hair." Since a picture of this concept is not provided in the book, ( I took the liberty of making my own. )

What is Quasimodo?

Obviously, he's a somewhat nontraditional-looking 20-year-old man, and presumably the protagonist of Disney's Hunchback of Notre Dame. But what is his true role? Before I answer that, let me present ( the following evidence. )
